Fred. Olsen Marine Services AS has a history of innovation and long-term value creation, with strong roots in the Norwegian Maritime Industry dating back to 1848.
The Company has its roots from the Technical Operation Department of Fred. Olsen & Co and as a direct consequence of Oil Pollution Act (OPA 1990) a new company was formed in 1991 and given the name Red Band AS.
This new organization took care of the Technical Operation of Fred. Olsen & Co’s Crude Oil Tanker Fleet. In 2005 First Olsen Ltd. took over Red Band AS and renamed the company Fred. Olsen Marine Services AS.
